Energy Audit Governmental Building

The Energy Audit Governmental Building project, commissioned by the Institute for Natural Resources, Energy, and Environmental Management (IREEM) in 2025, aimed to assess the energy performance of ESDM buildings across multiple regions and identify practical measures to reduce energy consumption, improve thermal comfort, and increase the use of renewable onsite generation. In light of Indonesia’s energy efficiency goals and the need for public-sector demonstration of low-carbon practices, the project sought to provide evidence-based technical and economic recommendations that local managers and policymakers could implement.

PT Geni Buana Nusantara, in partnership with ARTECH, conducted Level 2 energy audits covering HVAC systems, lighting, thermal comfort, overall thermal transfer value (OTTV) analysis, and rooftop solar potential for the audited buildings. The scope of work included on-site measurements, data collection, load profiling, energy-use analysis, and engineering simulations to identify energy-saving opportunities. The deliverables comprised prioritized, costed energy-saving recommendations, estimated energy and cost savings, implementation roadmaps, and technical guidance for monitoring and financing, enabling building managers and decision makers to plan and execute efficiency and solar rooftop interventions.
