Energy Audit for Textile Industry
Project type
Industrial energy audit focused on efficiency assessment and improvement in the textile sector.
Date
2025
Location
Indonesia
The Energy Audit for Textile Industry project, commissioned by the World Resources Institute (WRI) in 2025, aimed to assess the energy performance of a textile manufacturing facility and to identify practical measures to improve efficiency across key systems. Given the textile sector’s significant energy intensity and its potential for operational savings and emissions reduction, the project sought to deliver evidence-based recommendations that align technical interventions with operational realities.
PT Geni Buana Nusantara, in partnership with ARTECH, performed a comprehensive energy audit that evaluated electrical, mechanical, and thermal systems, including chillers, boilers, and lighting. The scope of work comprised on-site measurements, system inspections, load profiling, and engineering analysis to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. The outputs included prioritized energy-efficiency recommendations, technical guidance for implementation, and suggested monitoring approaches to track performance improvements, enabling facility managers to plan and execute cost-effective interventions.
